An Ancient Technology On The Way Out?
An exciting game to watch (that is, from the sidelines) is the loss of one technology for the sake of another much more powerful one. Technology usurping itself is a fascinating display of humans responding to difficulties. But what about watching the decline of handwriting? We all use handwritten notes fairly often, even during these keyboarded and cell-phoned days. What will happen to human memory when the art of the pen and paper fade away? Or will it?
I believe that the pen and paper will always be with us, just as people still use logs to roll things with, or wheelbarrows, or umbrellas. Items like this are just so convenient, and you just can't beat 'em! At least not yet.
